There is plenty of parking in the rear of the building, accessible from both El Camino Real and SC Street, with entrances at 2nd and 3rd Street. The office is conveniently located right at the front of the parking area — once you pull in, look for the Neuromuscular Massage by Melissa sign at Suite 120, which is visible from the lot. Street parking is also available in front of the building. Please note that due to nearby construction, the entrances may be a little hard to spot at first, so we recommend giving yourself a few extra minutes to locate parking before your appointment.

Avoid heavy meals immediately before your session. A light meal or snack 1-2 hours before is perfectly fine.

Neuromuscular massage is therapeutic work that goes deeper than a traditional relaxation massage. The experience will feel different. You may notice tenderness or sensitivity in areas where trigger points or muscle dysfunction are present. This is normal and expected as part of the therapeutic process.
The "no pain no gain" approach is not the philosophy here. Effective neuromuscular work is not about applying maximum pressure — it is about applying the right pressure in the right place for your specific needs. Some clients require a lighter touch while others respond better to deeper more targeted work. Your therapist will work with you to find the level that is both comfortable and effective for your body.
Communication is always encouraged throughout your session. The goal is purposeful pressure that produces results not discomfort for the sake of it. Most clients notice relief during and after the session as tension begins to release.

We use 100% organic jojoba oil for all massage services. Jojoba is uniquely compatible with the skin's natural oils. It absorbs easily without feeling greasy, making it ideal for both therapeutic and relaxation work. It is suitable for all skin types including sensitive skin. Please let us know of any allergies or skin sensitivities prior to your session.
